Geoffrey Clarke's work is mostly commission-based. He cast in a foundry in a barn at his home in Suffolk. His work is in the Tate Gallery, London.

• 1940-41: Studies at Preston School of Art

• 1941-42: Studies at Manchester School of Art. Serves in the 2nd World War with the RAF

• 1947-48: Studies at Lancaster and Morecambe School of Arts and Crafts

• 1948-52: Studies at the Royal College of Art

• 1951: Receives a Royal College Travelling Scholarship. Also receives the silver medal at the Milan Triennale

• 1952: Solo exhibition at Gimpel Fils Gallery, London. Work included in the Venice Biennale

• 1968-73: Head of Light Transmission and Projection Department at the Royal College of Art
